create - rims?
Hi
I wanna buy my boyfriend a really cool present. Some time ago he showed me some rims he really liked. Aerospoke? We live in denmark and I dont think they exit here.
He has an create bike, just like the one on this photo..
https://www.bikeradar.com/gear/catego...fixed-10-35593
My dilemma is now: Do the rims fit the bike? And what is the difference between road wheels and fixed gear?
I am clueless and I cant ask him - it would ruin the surprise. And.. I have read A LOT of bad reviews on the aerospoke rims. Can you recommend them? If not, are there any other alternatives? Mostly I think it was the looks that was appealing to him, so something similar to them?

Can you get any pictures of his bike ? The Create is a fixed gear bike. Rims for a fixed gear or "fixie" will have set up for a single rear gear or cog, unlike a road bike, which will have a set up for multiple rear gears or cogs, called a cassette (or older bikes will have a "freewheel" ) ... You want a rear wheel for a fixed gear bike.
I don't know if you have any dealers where you are, but I suspect someone in europe must have the rims you are looking for. Aerospoke wheels are carbon fibre and they are not cheap. If you don't see or find them locally, perhaps you can buy them online.
Cheers, and good luck,
Joe

If he wants an aerospoke wheel, get him that. A pair of Aerospokes will cost around $700 USD. Beer is always good too

Just scroll down on the page, and you will se a bigger photo.
I've found the officiel aerospoke site and they deliver to denmark but yeah, there are pretty expensive!

GOOD bike parts ARE expensive, top end parts are INSANE...as you are finding out! Just recently getting back into the cycling mode after a 25 yr hiatus, I am finding prices CRAZY!
