3 speed no coaster

Are there any 3 speed hubs WITHOUT the coaster brake available?

Get the Drum brake, set and forget for a looong time. Rim brakes Suck.
I got one 2 years ago, RD3 with old style indicator chain, good enough with just 3 speeds.

One way is to find a used wheel of the right size with the hub already installed so you don't have the cost of rebuilding the wheel with new spokes. Then all you need is the right shifter. They do come up on eBay and CL. I bought one for a trike a couple of years ago with Velocity rim and SRAM dual-drive for a hundred bucks. It was a direct switch for the original. Unfortunately, SRAM discontinued the DD so Sturmey Archer seems your only choice these days.

I like the hand brakes better for emergency stop. Also like freewheel so I can reset pedal position for restart after stop.
