I don't have it anymore. Bought my BMC in January and new wheels for it in May so i have nothing to upgrade anymore. Perfectly happy with my drivetrain and everything else on the bike so i have nothing to upgrade.

I kinda feel like my problem is gone... I don't even know what to upgrade. If I were to upgrade, it would be the whole thing up to a fancy carbon bike.

I have reached a level of bike schwagg supremacy, and now I don't need to upgrade anything. There isn't anything to upgrade to really. That is after I buy a new fork for my cx bike. I recently threw together a cx bike with old parts I had sitting around, and a frame I bought for $100. It's a blast to ride, but on the road nothing compares to riding my S2, that bike is brilliant. I'm going to have to break down, and build a TT bike one of these days...

Well, I guess you could call what I have "upgraditis". I want to change my drop bars to TT-style bars. Sounds simple, right? Nope.
I currently have a 7s cassette, and brifters. If I go to TT bars, I need to go with bar-end shifters. 7s bar end shifters are almost impossible to find, and 7s cassettes are becoming more rare, so right now the plan is to upgrade to 8s at the same time I go to TT bars. This means a new rear, and unfortunately my current one is in great shape.
So now I'm waiting for my rear wheel to wear out from the rim braking, or for all 7s cassettes to disappear from the market, which would force me to 8s once my cassette wears out. Luckily, I already have brake levers for the TT setup, but everything else will have to come when I replace the rear wheel.

Agree!
When I'm out riding, I'm perfectly happy with them as they are. Old or new, 7sp or 11. It doesn't matter really!

I just upgraded to a carbon seatpost, but other than that, life's a breeze!

N-1 is blasphemy. Sell the rarely used Cervelo, but make sure to replace it with another (Sora-level in this case). For me, it's real peace of mind to have a spare, just in case the main bike has a major mechanical failure the day before a big ride or event.

Until a dedicated CF fixed gear road frame-set w/ clearance for 28mm tires and mudguards becomes available I'm good w/ my 42 YO machine.

I have a gorgeous Roubaix that I never ride. I went to Performance and bought a cheapo GT 'commuter' and ride it almost exclusively....when I ride. I holds my racks, has fenders, upright position, and is cheap enough that if someone steals it or it gets damaged I don't care. Easily replaceable.
I really should start riding the other though.....

I'm afraid my illness is terminal. I'm perfectly happy with my bike, but if I can make it one second faster over a 20 mile ride, I'm in!!!

No upgraditis for me.
I love building up old frames with more modern components, so to make it financially feasible I often go with good condition high level used or with new mid-level components.
Can't imagine trying to upgrade the bikes...thatd be exhausting and costly.

I'm fine with what I have. 15 Ridley Fenix, Force 22, Hed Ardennes wheels, Fsa CF bars and seatpost, Serfas CF saddle, Conti gp4k tires. Shimano 5800 pedals.
I told someone last week it was my midlife crisis vehicle......Way more bike than I need.

I don’t feel the need for anything more than what I have but man I would love to be able to try the different makes and models for a few rides then try the next etc. I love my Trek Domane but sometimes I wonder what a Specialized Roubaix rides like or how a Canyon feels on a 40-50mile ride.

Also where in a Florida did you do 100m in one day? I’m looking for routes of 40-50-60 to build up to and haven’t found much passed 30m of paved trails. Maybe I should ask this in the regional forum! lol

That being said, I don't agree with "marching along" with it (i.e. constantly upgrading). You can nowadays buy an entry level - midrange bike, and just be happy with it. I think just because the "entry level" bikes have gotten so good, it is less worthwhile to spend the big $ now on expensive bikes. If you buy a modern quality alloy frame with carbon fork and Shimano 105 5800, (lets say a Canyon Endurace AL) there is not that much performance benefit going to a full carbon bike with Dura Ace Di2 for $10,000. Sure, the $10,000 bike is better, but not THAT much better.
It's just like smartphones: entry level and midrange smartphones have gotten so good, you're insane if you are paying $1000 for the latest iPhone or Samsung Galaxy. Manufacturers are adding features to the high-end models (such as dual cameras on smartphones, or electronic shifting on road bikes) that are nice to have, but in no way essential to the experience.

I seem to be not listing!
Anyone here do NOT have upgraditis? (O the blasphemy!)
No lusting after new bikes or components. Perfectly happy with what you've got, and if given a chance to do it again, would even consider downgrading from what you have?
I'm spending 100% of my on-road miles now on my entry-level Sora bike, and I have no urge to upgrade it. I do know what a DA Cervelo feels like, as I've got one sitting on my trainer (race bike) but I have no urge whatsoever to ride it preferentially, and am seriously contemplating selling it, as the entry level bike does 100% of what I need and want in a bike, and has for the past year.

Ive just got an old Bianchi. I just had back surgery and I’m looking to fix it up. I most likely will be after some new bike after I and my old steel are fixed up! I’ve never owned a serious bike, and the choices are overwhelming!

I do check all the bike and component sites on a regular basis. I try to stay current. I get the itch all the time, but then I'm able to talk myself down and realize that I really don't need any of it. But it's still fun to dream.
