I think it's amusing that acidfast7 was recently talking up 35 lb IGH steel touring bikes in Germany and is now riding a single speed track bike in the UK. When acidfast7 moves back to the USA I fully expect to see him on a Trek domane with a whisper helmet*.

The fact that the brand name is the mirror image of how I'd expect it suggests that yes, the picture is flipped.

It took me 10.5 sec to run the 100m in high school, so CigTech woulda dusted me.

Classic!

Might as well have been "Poorformance", FTL.

Reminds me of the pic I saw where someone in China had a lime-green "Jiant" frame with components that couldn't quite match the spelling of the higher-level brands they were trying to ape. Anxiously awaiting the next update...

bought the BL-R 600, years ago , then got Empella top mount levers ,
those by that company is gone.. (IDK if they still make CF CX frames and forks)
(I think the TW companies under cut them and TRP copied* the cantilever brakes they made too.
*the Euro X is Identical)

actually, I think I'm just got to ride if you now and see what breaks ... for fun before I start replacing stuff.

i'm thinking that some bullhorns could be fun ... but this is kind of an exercise to see what I can get out a cheap bike.

TRP is crap anyway ... their Parabox looks very poorly designed. I've always liked Tr!ckstuff and their doppelmoppel.

yea But ,(nice defense , You buy any of those yourself? costs more than that rasta-rig)
nobody out side of Germany sells those, no distributing importers .
So nobody in the US. will see any.

and the US is a Weapons Exporter , not so competitive in Bike parts, there they sub it out to Asia.

Tektro is a world wide distribution , and since the labor is cheaper than Germany ,
they can under cut the few western companies left.

the simple stuff is easier . and so guess where the MAJOR brands Get all Their Parts.

Taipei to Long Beach is shorter and direct.. and containers full of stuff is crossing the Ocean continuously.

complaint #1 (fender option through mango bikes)

1. not what was pictured on their page (to be fair, they did say they were working on their own system) but never told me which one I was getting.
2. paint overspray all in the treads ... make getting the front ones one tough and rear impossible.
3. once front was mounted ... end of bolts passing through lower fork threaded hole pass within 0.5cm of rotating hub on both sides ... enough to make me very uncomfortable
4. no breakaway SKS-style tabs as required by StVZO (German regulations)
5. rear was full coverage
6. could not install due to paint overspray in a smaller diameter bolt hole
7. no connector at the front lower point of fender

in the end, I removed both fenders and will ask for a refund.

ride impressions (coming for a front suspension'd MTB with 26x2.1 tires)

holy crap do 32-622s roll quite quickly. i found it easy to average 30kmp (19mph) with little effort
at high pressure all road surfaces felt through frame
colleagues think I'm nuts when they see the bike

minor complaint: when depressing front brake slightly can here a little rub on the braking track interface ... as in the seam is not totally flat.

I expect stuff like this ... at this price point and i'm OK with it.

However, I am asking for a refund because the fenders on the webpage are not the models I received.

In the 80's Mgr of SF bike shop* was proud to have found a British winter Training Bike frame and fork .
From Well known builders, Mercian , or one of those , . Kit was A Fixie, rear opening to chain tension..
but the dropout was made for mudguard mounting, included Eyelet hole
wheel clearance adequate for fitting them, and places to mount brakes.
