I don't exactly know what the frame is, I was told raleigh but I have doubts. It's just a normal lugged steel frame with a lugged fork and it dose have a superfluous little heart under the bottom tube. Also there is a serial number under the crank. the red bike maybe 15 pounds and built like a russian helicopter but it can roll.

Another option is to put one of those Lizard Skin (or other type) protectors on your chainstay.

This is an update on my 04 Specialized Sirrus:
Modification:
- Syntace C2 Aero Bar
- Nashbar TT Bullhorn Bar
- Cane Creek 200TT Brake Lever
- Shimano Ultegra 8/9 Speed Bar Con
- Travel Agent (Front/Rear Brakes)
it rides so different now.. but very comfortable and perfect for the climbs... now i just need to adjust and tweek the setting and then i'll be good as gravy!
