Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Updates:

Mowed one of the front lawns
cleaned out a sprinkler head on the back lawn.
Watered the lawns
Dropped a bottle of mineral water and it exploded.
Got cut by shrapnel, only 1/8" deep so butterfly bandage , gauze and duct tape should take care of that. Been elevating and watching movies since.

I had the "opportunity" to fix a washing machine at my in-law's house in Jan and now it looks like I get to fix a dryer at home.

It's running but not getting hot. Likely a burnt out heating element, but will take a voltage meter to it some time tomorrow.

Tomorrow: again maybe gonna rain. I’m going to ride anyway.

Easter dinner shall be: glazed baked ham, scalloped potatoes, green veg of some sort, buttermilk biscuits. And carrot cake for dessert.

Good idea. It was actually pretty nice, not too much wind. I would have hung around to talk more but I didn't want to be a pest since I figured you prefer to ride alone.

Not always, just now. On account of the coronavirus.

Although there’s something to be said for it, just doing your own thing. Just get going when you get going, go out without a plan, turn left instead of right, etc. I’m kind of enjoying it.

Solo riding is ok, but I miss my group rides. I was doing 4 group rides per week when the shutdown happened. !000 group rides in the last ten years.

If it's all your lot it's one lawn. If you mow your front and your neighbor's front it's two front lawns.

To honor my Lutheran heritage we shall indulge on easter morning, with a soft boiled egg. Each!

I do recall when they released the 7 layer burrito it was a big deal for me. That said, I have had Taco Bell exactly once in the past decade because Chipotle.

Same here except 3 group rides per week. Would like more but work gets in the way.
