Picked up a clicking in the headset?

2016 Specialized Stump Jumper Elite 650B. Maybe 500 Miles on it. MAYBE.
I have picked up a strange inconsistent but constant clicking in the headset or in the forward 1/3 of the bike, I think? Tried loosening the top cap bolt; didnt work. Tried tightening the top cap bolt some more; didn't work. Caliper is snug. Brakes working great. Clicking is driving me nuts. Anyone have any ideas? Actually Im sure there are a million ideas. I need them all. Thanks. Appreciated!

Try isolating the cable housings where they attach to the frame. they can creak if a little dusty. Sometimes a little chain lube is all it takes.

Thanks @mtbikerinpa! I fiddled around with the cable housings. I did find a loose one but that wasn't the click. I went for a pavement pedal and listened to the click while i was in the saddle. then I kept pedaling and got out fo the saddle and kept pedaling. The click went away! Yep, it was my command post! ANNOYING CLICK GONE! Thank you!
