High test IPAs,(especially Lagunitas), Jaegermeister, and Sortilege Canadian Whiskey and Maple Syrup liqueur.
Sortilege is a wonderful maple syrup infused whiskey liqueur available only in Canada. We buy the maximum number of bottles we can bring into the US when we come back from out bike/fishing vacations in Ontario. With the pandemic we may have to go cold turkey until 2021.
There is another Canadian maple whiskey brand that is available in the US but not widely called Tomahawk. They are quite different but with the real maple infusion.
I almost forgot Jamison's Irish.

So Don Julio anejo has been by go to tequila for the last 5-6 years. At $60/bottle, it could not be beat. Sure, something over $100/bottle was better, but I didn't want to spend that much. So I bought Don Julio every other bottle. I'd try something new to try to topple Don Julio, and when it wouldn't, I'd buy the bottle of Don Julio.
Well, it happened. A new-every-other-bottle has killed Don Julio anejo. Long live the new king, Maracame anejo. And at $50/bottle, I save a couple bucks.

Back in summer again, IPA time!
We started getting stuff from Toppling Goliath's down here, their new IPA offerings as of late, love-love-loving it all. Psuedo Sue is killing it for me right now. Our two more-local-ish offerings, Trimtab and Wild Leap really fell off the wagon, both are waaaaay to sweet these days, to the point of cloying and I just can't take it anymore. All sweet, no hop goodness.
Bearded Iris is still absolutely crushing it, Homestyle and Double Homestyle are winners all day long. Revision is still pretty solid when we can get it, but I'm not seeing as much these days, Destihl is still pretty solid too, but both Destill and Revision I feel like may be heading down that too-sweet path again.
We're getting a lot of IPAs in SE USA lately from non-west-coast brewers who are really trying to bang out that west-coast hop profile. It's been interesting, but just like when NE hazies hit the scene, some people are just making it aggressively hoppy for the sake of punching you in the taste buds, just like folks were making their beers unfiltered so they could call it hazy, but it loses the spirit completely.
Outside of that, I've been keeping the cabinet stocked with Balvenie single malt 12yr single-barrel. For the price point and the quality, you just cannot beat it.

It's been a Pimm's Cup kinda late summer. I'm partial to Fevertree Ginger Beer and muddled berries, usually Blue- and Rasp-. Also been swigging espresso tonics. In a swing through Vermont last month we snagged a bottle of Sapling maple liqueur that I've been making Vermont-hattans with, most recently using Knob Creek Rye and Fee Aztec Chocolate Bitters.

ascherer I'm a a fan of the Fee Bros. Aztec Chocolate bitters, too. You may have noticed I've got bottle tucked in the back in the photo above. Good compliment to a Grand Manhattan.
I like to make a variation on the white Russian with the chocolate bitters. Instead of plain cream/milk, I slowly simmer some cream/milk with cinnamon sticks and chili pepper beforehand to infuse some extra flavor. Strain and chill the milk in the refrigerator before use. Then, when cocktail hour comes, I mix the Kahlua, vodka, and flavored cream (often I use 1/2 & 1/2 or milk if that's all I have), and Fee Bros. Aztec Chocolate Bitters over ice. I don't have a name for it...maybe I should call it the Trotsky?

My go-to is my homebrew beer. I just finished a keg of IPA, just tapped a keg of ESB, and will be brewing a double-batch of Bohemian pilsner tomorrow which after lagering should be ready November 1.

This stuff is tasty. I was skeptical of the peanut butter flavor but it really does shine through quite nicely. It is certainly not some cheap novelty beverage it really is a decent whiskey for the price and could make some fun peanut butter cup cocktails if you are into that sort of thing.
