BSA Golden Wings
I have a mens AND a ladies BSA Golden Wings. The men's is a complete bike in red dating from c1954 and the ladies I think is 1951, bought as a bare frame, in blue. Does anyone have any photos of ladies BSA lightweight bikes as I am struggling to find much information other than the original sales brochures. I would post a photo myself except I am not sure how to. I realise they need to be hosted elsewhere.
Thanks, Sally.
Thanks, Sally.

Curious that models would be named "Golden Wings" and offer them in red and blue. Eager to see pictures.

It was nice to get replies, frustrating as hell not to be able to add a photo! I have been studying the brochures a lot over recent weeks and believe the red bike is 1954 and the blue one 1951. By the way, I couldn't edit or post. Anyway, here goes.....

SallyNH, does "NH" stand for New Hampshire? If so I live between Mt. Kearsarge and Mt. Sunapee.
Cool looking bikes. Can you show the drive side of the red one?

No! It stands for New Hudson and was added because it wouldn't let me just be Sally!

The 531 sticker on the womens model certainly looks earlier. I'm suprised the fork crown caps are different, I thought they all looked like the mens model. The mens crank looks like a Williams so look for a two letter date code on the ack, maybe AT or AS. The complete chart is here.

The chainring is not correct on that picture, it is one I put on it that happens to be BSA but it should have a 5 pin one with a fluted crank as the left crank still is. Anyway I have fitted one now, not properly as I need to do the bearings in the BB - but will post a link to some more pictures when I have uploaded them. I couldn't get them to show up on the thread.
