Fuji Cambridge 6-speed town bike - $200 (Maplewood)

Date: 2009-11-12, 2:12AM EST
Reply to: sale-7hvhp-1462350262@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]

Here is a lovely Fuji Cambridge 6-speed bicycle, inspired by old English bicycles. The riding position is very upright, which helps you see the scenery and traffic all around you. Unlike the old models, this one is surprisingly light, and virtually all the components are made of aluminum alloy, including the rims. The gearing is well chosen to give a wide range of gears, notably a very low gear for climbing hills.
Lightweight aluminum fenders keep your back and feet dry.
This bicycle would be comfortable for both ladies and gentlemen.
I am a former professional bicycle mechanic and have thoroughly overhauled this bicycle. I have brought it into perfect working order. It needs no further work. The rear tire is brand new.
I can't capture the gorgeous color of this bicycle with my camera. I hope you can come see it for yourself to appreciate it.
Price is $200 and is negotiable.
My name is Tom. Call me at 973-821-3662 or email me at the address above.

I have a great older Trek Road Bike that fits me at 6'2". Has new seat, tires and tubes. The bike needs some new cables. I paid $400 for the bike two years ago and just need to get rid of it ASAP.

Lemond Neveda City - $199 (Delafield)

Reply to: sale-hsyug-1462481872@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]
https://milwaukee.craigslist.org/bik/1462481872.html

This is a 22" Lemond Neveda City road bike. It has 853 Reynolds tubing and all components and the bike are in great shape. There is a little rust on the chain and a small amount on the rims (my garage this summer was damp). I had this bike tuned up last spring for summer riding but I only used it a few times.

Here is a little history on this bike. I first rode it (I believe it is a 2002) three years ago when I rented it in Marco Island, FL at a bike shop. I fell in love with it and asked to buy it. They said no. I was back in Marco last winter and when I walked in the bike shop there it was! I made an offer and they accepted ($250 = $50 to ship to WI). I brought the bike back to Wisconsin and had it tuned up. Now here is the hard part - the three years since the first time I used the bike I gained about 30 pounds. I "outgrew" my dream bike so now it sits.

The pedals don't have clips, but just the straps for any shoe. The bolts that hold the pedals are stripped (the bike shop told me) so if you wanted to change to clips I think the crank arms would need to be replaced.

The bike in great shape (the bike shop that rented it made sure of that and I don't think they did much rental business - it was out of the way and Marco is a retirement community), fun to ride, and a great starter. I had thoughts of growing back into the bike but at middle age I think my touring bike will be my mainstay.

Peugeot 501 Road Bike
Made in France!
★ 100% Genuine! ★
**100% GUARANTEED**

Call Charlie: (832) 814-5445.
Have a look at this CLASSIC Peugeot 501 Iseran Edition road bike! Manufactured in France, this bike was modeled after the ones used in Tour de France.

The tires have good tread, and still hold air. This bike is in VERY GOOD condition and just needs a few spokes to be ready to ride!

That is more of a sports/touring bike than a "racing" bike... You probably want something with a triple crank up front, but this will be fine. It is a lower end bike and close to 30 lbs, if that matters to you...

Yes. You want a 58-62 cm frame. The finer points of sizing should be discussed in a different thread to keep this one on topic.
