Trek 400 series road bike - $150 (mount joy)

This is a vintage trek road bike that is in good condition with a few scrapes on the fork and down tube. The standover hight is 29in. and would work best for a youth beginner. The bike has shimano slr 105 brakes and crank, shimano 6 speed on the downtube, continental ultra sport 27x1 1/4 slick tires, velo plush seat, new planet bike bar rap, flat pedals. The bike frame is True Temper Chromoly and the bike was made in the USA! I have had this bike for a season and just outgrew it. This would also make a good fixed gear if you wanted. My number is 717-653-5067. Ask for james. Thank You.

Great purchase on the Fuji Club .. I suspect once you ride the Club you'll have trouble ever parting with it. Here's mine:

Do tell about the pump? Someone on CL here has been advertising a pretty much NOS Zefal in aluminum I was thinking of picking up just for the hell of it.

And Scott, are the Fuji Gods smiling again? So long as this doesn't end in divorce for me I'll have this thing looking better than showroom. It has that potential.

Hey, the pump on my Club is a Silca, not original of course but suitable. As far as I can tell, the Club didn't come with a pump, so anything goes. From what I've seen of your work on the Tivoli, yours will look showroom.

I don't need a 55, but the 58 is a tad small for me. BTW, I own over 20 Fuji's, from a Pro down to a Special Road Racer .. And I'm divorced. Just a word of advice ....

I might just go with the simple alloy Zefal...alloy is safe :-)

Had I looked closer I could have guesses the 58 was small for you...the stem is fairly elevated. That that one of those extra tall Nitto stems?

As far as the other thing...I'll try to avoid that. My wife is used to my goofyass stuff. As long as it's not horribly expensive I can usually get by. She let me drive from MN to IL to buy a used pair of Acoustic Research TSW-910 speakers (Google that ) that I had to refoam all the drivers on...so goofiness isn't outside the realm for me

12 speed Peugeot road bike - $100 (Algonquin)

I have a nice Peugeot road bike for sale. It is from the early 1980's if I remember correctly and has 12 speeds. I just put on new tires and gave it a tune up. Rides and shifts smoothly. It is just a tad too large for me and I just bought another bike.

Cash only, no shipping, no SCAMMERS! I can meet up in Algonquin or in Schaumburg during the week.

No, he said it was the 22 or 24lbs model and he paid 500 for it; not sure what that adds up to.

Trek 620 in Chicago

Too small for me and crazy over priced at $620. But I do seriously lust over those long chainstays... My search in this thread found four 620s over the past few years and they were all listed at $200 or $300. Perhaps you can haggle...

Rare 1985 Trek 620 Dedicated Touring Bike lugged steel - $620 (Carpentersville)

Reply to: sale-pnq4q-1617022695@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]

This is the Classic and collectible vintage Trek 620 model year 1985. This bike is exactly the same frame with Trek 720 and has the longest chain stays of all the Trek 620 ever made. Included are the original Blackburn rear rack, bike computer, bells, three(3) water bottle. For Trek collectors and touring enthusiast, this is your chance to own this rare Trek 620 model year 1985 and as I said the longest chain stays of all touring bikes ever made by Trek exactly the same frame of Trek 720. Bike trainer not included. Stand over height is 30 inches Seat tube is 19.5 inches Top tube is 21 inches down tube is 24 inches. The bike is upgraded so you will not have to. It cost me more than $300.00 just for the upgrades. The rear deraileaur is Shimano long cage XTR, the levers are replaced with Shimano brake/shift levers, replaced the problematic Mallard hub to a more desirable Specialized hub with 7-speed gear. The rim on the rear is also replaced with Ambrosio Elite aluminum rim V-shape made in Italy but the front rim is the original one but still in very good condition so I leave it that way. I have the other matching rim on the front and I will give it to the buyer. All you got to do is enjoy the ride and have a great outdoor exercise in the process. Check this site for more info on this classic bike: https://www.vintage-trek.com/images/t...rekTouring.pdf

Am I the only one who thinks the offer over email/phone to pay the CL seller more than the advertised price with 0 desire to follow through with the increased price is a toolbag move?

^ heh heh heh ^ that is an interesting negotiation tool. I guess it might work on those sellers who try to turn their CL listing into an eBay auction, unless they get too many calls.

someone in LA/OC grab this trek asap! advertized as a "trek 650 series auto race bike" $50. whatever auto racing means... if it is a 6xx series trek, this is a steal! too far way for me (1.5hrs - and cannot leave until 3pm... it will be way gone).
