Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I know you don't have prices for your frames, but is there any idea of the wheels?

This is not really a product comment but I’d love to see an upgrade to the warranty program from 1 year. Pretty much everyone else (Hed, Mavic, Zipp, Bontrager) is doing at least 2 years.
It was one of the main reasons why I did not buy Soul wheels (trust me, I really wanted to). It probably makes a lot of us in the US a bit nervous and turn to other manufacturers.

You see, you say that, but at the cost, after that one year, you could just buy a new set of SOULs and then still end up paying the same as some of the other brands with longer warranties, plus you'll have a new set. That's how I saw it anyways

Are the Soul carbon wheelsets equipped with comparable hubs to White Industries? How about choices to the spokes? Do you offer Sapim CX Rays?

Hi quick quesiton.

Are you doing any wind tunnel testing with the aero wheels or are you using expired patents (honest question not trying to start trouble)?

New products look nice!

We are not doing any wind tunnel testing or using any expired patents.

The SOUL carbon wheelsets are equiped with SOUL Prodigy hubs which are our own design and molds.

We offer spokes that have the same materials as CX Rays but made in Taiwan instead.

It's a multi faceted question. Firstly what the other posted mentioned is true. At the price points that we offer our products, having a 2 year warranty does not make much sense. But it makes even less sense because of the nature of our business.

We are an online presence and have very little face to face connection with our customers. We have no idea how the wheelsets are used, whether it is indeed a warranty or damage issue and it's all a he said she said situation. If we set up a distribution network, then perhaps a 2 year warranty may make more sense.

However, we are committed to the quality of our products, and if you asked most people that have dealt with us for warranty claims, you will hopefully hear that we try to deal with it as soon as possible, and in a very reasonable manner. So again, it's back to what the other poster has mentioned, it's a chicken and egg thing.

Sean, did you ever have an update to the potential TT frameset groupbuy (https://www.bikeforums.net/showthread.php?627268-Carbon-Time-Trial-frame-groupbuy )? Looks like it was the same frame as the new Planet X one, but you were talking about a much better price than they currently have. It looked similar to the one you are talking about offering now, except it didn't have the rear brake down near the BB.

Likewise. Sean, do you have a release timeframe for the S3.0 wide yet?

Sean,

What are your thoughts on the new C5.0 carbon clinchers as 'everyday' wheels for a 185 lb rider?

When I asked Sean about either the C4.0 vs C5.0 as an everyday wheel, he recommended the C4.0's and I only weigh 130.

Nice looking stuff. I've started to be a weight weenie again lately - the super light stuff has my interest piqued. If you want someone who is hard on wheels to test those uber light wheels let me know.

Maybe the problem was with Sean's supplier. Or he sold a lot more wheels than usual and ended up short. Or you're so frigging perfect you just never ever ever ever make a mistake. Yeah that must be it.

Wtf are you, his business adviser? Are you buying anything from him or are you just taking the opportunity to make a big deal out of something minor?

In the future open mouth before inserting foot. You will look much less foolish.
 Think the above through.

Now make this your mantra (there's one of dem furrign words again):
"I will refrain from attempting to be a wit on the internet, as I am only half-successful at it"

Wait, actually I do ride a Harley, a Ford truck, and a Lynskey! Maybe I am a xenophobe, or maybe I just like to support American workers...
So your idea of supporting American workers is to talk trash about non-American workers, eh? Well done - you shower yourself and the USMC (which I am sure is absolutely *thrilled* to be associated with you) in glory.

And funnily, I didnt realize this was an American-only forum.

what kind of components do you have on that Lynskey.....I'm sure they are made in the US as well right?
