Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Yup; it's like when I went to the top of a mall parking garage, specifically one with a bunch of shade structures, to take shots of my Civic. I even took my tripod for my little point-n-shoot camera.

This is what I was thinking. Ha.

I never even thought of that, I'v never done a photo shoot with my Civic as it's nothing special.

This was my original idea (still on the loading dock but less obvious), but I decided it was too busy.

Btw, I really like the Madone 4.5. I'v always wanted that bike.

I own 2 road bikes. An old, beat up, well-worn, Trek 1000. My first ever road bike and a bike I will cherish forever. The other bike is a brand new addition to the crew. A 2010 Cannondale CAAD 9. The new bike is bare bones with nothing but stock parts but I love the frame and have already come up with a few ideas for upgrading her.

Edit: Never mind. I cant seem to get the images to display.

G'day all thought i'll post my bike and why i built it.
My pinarello was upsetting a bone spur in my shoulder because of the narrow bars and hand positions but mtb's have been kind to me.
This is what i came up with she's 8kg and i have no trouble keeping up with roadie's and on rough citylink bike path's it leave's road bike for dead.
Hope you like seeya.

Um, I've updated my Giant Cadex slightly since I last posted... so here it is with new tyres (Bontrager Race X Lite) and the saddle from my Z35

And I use it... here it is half way to Emley Moor telecommunications mast.

Enough seat post? Ha. Bike's sick man, glad you enjoy it. I'm really enjoying the look of your wheelset with the disc brakes.

The last 4 bikes (Cannondale, Ridley, Jamis, and Fuji) are all some seriously nice looking machines. I wouldn't hesitate to take ANY of them. My Allez is starting to looks quite vintage since all of the 2011 bikes are out.

Great looking bike but I think seat post is so high, it may crack/break the frame.

There's no such thing as complete, just better than before in my mind. One day, if I am sitting on a bike which I designed and had unlimited funds to produce myself one, I will be probably be thinking, "Next time, I'll do it this way"

My bike is "complete", the next upgrade will be a Pedal Force frameset. At which, it'll be a completely different bike.
