Red Rider

My friend and I set out today to climb, and 2 of our 3 favorite local hills in Vacaville are being repaired/resurfaced. Steiger Hill is down to one lane of packed dirt while the east-side lane is being repaired after washing out 2 years ago. It may be open by winter; I hope sooner. Cantelow is being chip-sealed, as are Tubbs, Clement, Putman and other roads in this corner of the county. I highly recommend you check the county website for local closures and newly chip-sealed resurfacing before venturing out to avoid the construction and excess gravel.
