Hello from Kentucky!
Hey guys. I am a 40 year old guy from Ky who recently decided to get in shape. On March 1 2019 I was a 30# overweight smoker. Today I am 35 pounds lighter and a non smoker.
I have owned around a dozen bikes in the past. Most when i was younger and all of the cheaper variety. I recently bought a used Trek MB, most likely a cheaper one and am considering buying a fitness Specialized used bike. I have exercised three times by biking so far. Twice were casual rides and yesterday a HIIT ride.
Also I have lived next door to my job for a decade and am changing to a job 3.1 miles away so I will be riding back and forth everyday. I have a car and a truck, but since my new job isn’t physical so I want to bike for exercise.
Anyway I saw this forum and decided to join. I want to converse with other bikers and learn about different types and brands of bikes and one day in the near future buy myself a nicer new bike.
I look forward to being a part of this community.

If you are western KY, you just missed the Annual Bourbon, Bacon, & Tobacco Tour - or something like that. T'was written up well with pics in C&V. Just a few guys out having fun on road bikes.
Ride on.

Don't think this took first time. Some of us around L'ville had discussed riding the Legacy Trail--seems like a nice ride. https://www.lexingtonky.gov/legacy-trail
