Converting 10 Speed Campy Chorus to a triple?
I bought a early 2000s (about 2004) bike with 10 speed Chorus (sorry, not "churus" obviously) carbon type shifter currently set up as a 2x10 and wondering if/how I can change this to a triple?
I can get a triple crank and new BB and new triple front derailleur easily, and have read mixed references that many of these older-ish campy brifters can somehow either work on a double or triple crank (with the right new front derailleur of course).
Is that true? And anyone know if these 10 speed chorus brifters from that era are the type that will work with a triple front derailleur?

Bikes: '96 Litespeed Catalyst, '05 Litespeed Firenze, '06 Litespeed Tuscany, '20 Surly Midnight Special, All are 3x10. It is hilly around here!

I had a 2006 Chorus 10-speed triple group on my bike and the left Ergo shifter had "micro clicks" and did shift over all three chainrings very well. Count the clicks on your left shifter, if there are 6 or 7 you are fine.

Those older Campagnolo shifters are very adaptable. I converted my brother's bike which has Chorus 9 speed shifters from double to triple shifting. Earlier, when I owned that bike, I initially didn't have a front derailleur to fit, so I was able to use a 1973 Nuovo Record front derailleur with that shifter. Your shifter will be able to work with almost any front derailleur designed to shift a triple chairing crank it is compatible with
