Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Excellent.

I also want to make this:

https://www.davidlebovitz.com/stiggi...rhum-daiquiri/

And I was able to get this:

https://www.plantationrum.com/planta...ancy-pineapple

Plus some gin to make this:

https://www.davidlebovitz.com/pegu-c...c-lime-recipe/

I’m trying to decide which will go best with dinner. Pulled Pork Sanwiches, slaw and corn on the cob.

Do you cut kernels off the cobb directly into the mixer?

How about no.

Pegu Club aka the gin drink:

The daiquiri:

The disadvantage of the daiquiri is that requires more lime juice, which will leave me lime insecure until I get me next Instacart order on Thursday.

Lol well it’s a good thing you are not invited to the socially distant taco soirée. It will avoid any awkwardness.

I did three or four hours of yard work before lunch. Figured I'd do a two or three hour ride after lunch. I changed my plan, after the first hill. Probably should have worn sunscreen.

No pre-hydration. Rookie mistake.

My emergency water was not needed today. I thought about stopping at Melton Hill Dam restrooms for a drink, but the park was "closed." Well, it was for most people, but not Velo Vol. I snuck around the gate and kept riding. I didn't bother stopping to see if the bathrooms were locked. Hydration was the least of my problems.

But then again, which of us made three kinds of ice cream this weekend?
