Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

You must hate yourself then.

YOU have "no right to dictate that all cyclists must follow" your " paradigm of what others are allowed to do on" your road. Why the .... do we have to follow your rules of saying hello?

This guy didnt "dictate" anything. He just gave him a snarl. Just get over it and get on with your life. No need to harp on it and start following him. That is being more of a jerk than the original jerk. Very immature.

The whole thing could have been all in YOUR mind, not his. Matter of fact, maybe the other rider didn't really exist at all?

Well put.

On the road, If I am responsive at all, likely you'll get a snarl from me. Cycling for me is valuable alone time for me, not at all a social thing. (before and after, I'll talk your ear off as well as listen to anything you have to say) Point is, I have every right to be who I am. If you get a resentment, that's your problem. Funny, it's apparent you're the one who was pissed off, and remains so. The other guy likely has not given a single thought or care to you since.
