^^^^^^ ..... or even a corkscrew....

(It's actually meant to hold a folded-up dollar bill, so the buyer doesn't end up completely broke.)

thank you!

appears it may be a reverse tweezer type tool - when one squeezes it the prongs open up

must be used for manipulating something on these blocks

if we have a reader familiar with them they may know...

Geeeeee, and I thought my fingers work really well as pawl holders.

If the CL seller can successfully fetch that price, the kit is probably worth more than the total of freewheelspa.com.

It's for holding the pawls when you assemble the body.

Did they really make these tool kits for mechanics or just for "Campagnolo anything" collectors??
I just could not see a pro mechanics out in the circuit, lugging along these heavy wooden briefcases as they follow the race stages....

These were the tools and small parts carried when I was doing Campy tech support in the 80’s. Picchio stand, heavy but base did come apart easily. Campy tool set. Freewheel tool set Personal tool box Personal Fritz Bruhlmann work stand Personal Park trying stand Small parts (tackle boxes) Also spare gruppo components, tires, spokes and misc bits.

Items on bench carried in bottom of box. Everyday beater standins for Campy tool set pieces Headset/BB, chain plier, chain whips, freewheel remover

This was my favorite, most used piece on the road. Fritz Bruhlmann bike stand. Set up or knock down in 15 to 20 seconds. Light weight, compact and Campy QR seat binder bolt equipped. Fritz was the Swiss National Team mechanic for at least forty years.

All you needed in the age of steel.

Now those are some very nice spare parts!
Wonder if the gold plate makes the cone races any smoother?
