First, another for that classic looking celeste Bianchi. Anyways, I made another minor no-cost update to my Windsor Clockwork. I replaced the crude out-of-round stock 46T chainring with a nice 44T x 3/32" 7075 polished chainring I had in my parts bin. Not sure of the brand, but it may be a Stronglite road ring w/o shifting ramps, which is ideal for a SS. The gearing has been reduced from 69 to 66 gi, and the drive train is much smoother and quieter now. Also, chain adjustment doesn't vary nearly as much, so the chain slack can be reduced a lot. I also shortened the chain by half a link to keep the wheel positioned the same in the dropout. The bike currently weighs 22.4 lbs, which splits the difference between a lightweight steel framed bike like my chrome Soma Rush, which weighs 19.6 lbs and my SE Draft Coaster hi-ten frame and steel component wonder, which weighs 24.8 lbs, despite running smaller 650c wheels.
So, I've still only spent $180 on this bike, which rides like my much more expensive bikes. I realize that the cockpit looks a bit goofy with the turned-up drop bars, and this bike won't garner a lot of positive feedback for looks.

It dropped to half? And here I thought it was priced well even from the beginning. That bike would not have lasted more than a day here in NYC...

I want a new wheelset but i think I'm done with it for now I'm afraid. I have a Nishiki road bike I want to rebuild.
I did install the Superbe Racing dustcaps today though!!!

Was visiting a friend at her photo studio and snagged a fancy pic of the Major Taylor in commute mode:
Side-note: I've given up on finding the perfect saddle and went back to the Romin. Comfy and <$50 (with a bit of luck)

I finally finished building my first bike and so far I am thrilled!
I started with this $95 Centurion frame I got on ebay (complete with coveted Tange cro-mo stickers):
I always wanted to repaint a bike, so I decided to go for it, here's the frame after stripping/sanding:
I wasn't prepared to get a professional job done, and I wanted to do everything myself anyway, so I just did the best I could with rattle cans. Here's a bunch of layers of clear coat drying in my apartment:
The finished product:
It's name is Grey Wolf, and I am very pleased with it. It's my first fixed gear and so far I'm having a blast. The paint is not super durable, but at least I know how to touch it up when the chips get too bad. What do you all think?
I've been lurking at yer guys bikes all summer for inspiration - nice bikes dudes.

@BikeDodgeBall looks like a good job. Just not a fan of the white accents. I think solid would be good, its hard to tape the lugs to paint.

A little before and after action. I bought that Kabuki frame from a pawn shop for 40 bucks and decided to make a decent beginner bike for the fiance. She noted some interest in trying out tri's/road biking, but with little to no experience on a sadlle I sure as hell wasn't going to shell out big money, especially when she has almost no time on a bike. So I decided to repurpose this into a SS for her. Still some work to be done. The seat has been leveled out properly since this pic was taken(off by a mm or two in the pic) and I'll probably wait for that gumwall to wear out to buy a matching black tire. They are both Cheng Shin Super hps brand new, just one gum and one black. That was about the only thing usuable on the entire bike was that brand new tire that it had for some strange reason.
Within the next year I'll get it powdercoated as long as she rides it enough, then I'll probably upgrade her to something nicer and throw this one in the stable to become a nice town/beater bike.
