Thanx, Bill.

I think it's a compromise in length so the 53/13 high gear isnt too slack. It's most likely the original chain. There are so very few miles on it.

Here's my Cannondale Synapse Carbon. It is a mongrel because my 2012 frame failed and was replaced under warranty with a new 2014 frame. So it's a 2014 frame with 2012 components.

Haven't ridden it yet other than a short skip down the driveway, headed out today as soon as the morning mist lifts

My primary transportation is a Workcycles Opafiets:

And for hauling grandkids, groceries, plants, wine, boxes being returned to Zappos to the UPS store, and other stuff:

My Swedish wife has an appropriately colored Gr8:

My Scott Addict road bike has become jealous, lonely and unhappy with how much more we ride our city bikes:

We also have a couple of mountain/hybrid bikes, and a collection of most of our 70's and 80's track and road bikes.

Giant 64cm Defy (2014) is daily commuter, Trek Mamba 29er (2010) has become semi retired, since I purchased the roadie for commuting 200 miles each week.15,000 feet of climbing each week, including a 2 mile section with some 14 % grades.

I guess I qualify as old.... so I'm posting.

Loaded photos of both bikes on my Photobucket profile, but have not yet figured our how to copy from mobile app.

My Follis - the frame, "suicide shifter" (front), stem, bars, brakes and brake levers are all original. Cranks, seatpost, hubs date from the 1970s, wheels from the 80s. My Uncle Sid gave me the bike when I was 13, in 1961.

I picked up the frame, which I thinks dates to about 1994, a few years ago (from the quirky Sound Cycles bike shop in mid-town, Los Angeles). I had some spare parts and I purchased more. I want a new, slammed stem, something in black, but I've been too lazy to work on that.

My Wabi fixie. It's probably less than three years old. I bought it to feel 25 again and when I ride it, I do!

My 2008 Specialized Roubaix Expert - carbon frame, Ultra components. With its tall head tube, it's my most comfortable bike, ever.

89 Sertta Nova Special X with Mavic rims, Dura Ace in red. 2013 Cannondale Super 6. I did this over lay to try and figure out my fit on the newer Cannondale. The 2 frames are so close as you can see. Cannondal a bit shorter and the bars higher. The Serotta kicks ass, so does the Cannondale but in a different way.

Hi All, I've been around for quite a while. Used to ride regular bikes in the 70's, but in the 80's I was hit by a car and after leaving the hospital in a wheelchair they told me I may never walk again. I proved them wrong and finally last year I got on my first bike after 30 odd years. Needless to say my strength and stamina was not up to par, so I have had to settle for electric bikes, which are my new love.

This is my latest renovation job. A 92 Marin Team Issue mtb rescued from the dump. Although 23 years old it still rides beautifully and was modified to take the early Hope disc brakes more than 20 years ago.

Here is a pic of my sole remaining bike, a NIB 2010 Fuji Altamira. Built it up with parts from my old CAAD9; had to buy maybe 3 new parts (seat post, FD....BB?) that didn't fit the new frame. Broke my collarbone on The Maiden Voyage.

My Baron got a new carbon fork last month, to replace the BMX-style fork it had. Carbon disc brake forks are hard to find, so I chose the ever-popular Beiou (Chinese.) I think it looks pretty sharp with the splash of color!

As you can tell, it's not quite good riding weather yet.
