SKS Chainboard for touring

Does anybody have experience with these? I'm wondering how much grime they'll keep off of your chain, and if that benefit is worth the weight / annoyance with chain maintenance / price

Why Not? They Do in the EU.

But Note the bottom is open.. they keep the grime off You .. The chain still picks up grit sticking in the excess chain Oil ,

To Keep it cleaner you need; 1 and IGH not a derailleur drivetrain, and a Hebie chainglider that does cover the chain top & bottom.

another German bike accessory made for Shimano 8_11 speeds [& of course Rohloff]

I always assumed a lot of the dirt comes down from the rear tire, or is thrown back by the front tire. But IGH + case is definitely the best of all options for chain
