The bike information is dated. I bought a Jamis Aurora in 2007. Maybe around $1,000? At the time i thought it would be the most expensive bike i would ever own.

It is time for a new bike. I like steel, and the ability to put a rear rack on it. Used mostly for a 22 mile round trip commute that i try to do 40 to 50 times a year. Also, weekend rides with dw. These are mostly on paved bike trails, and range to 20 to 40 miles.

I was 50 when I discovered randonneuring. Since then finished three PBPs, SBS 1200, Cascades 1200, Natches Trace 1500, a couple 1,000's, several SRs, and five R-12s. 50-60 was a good decade. Enjoy!
