Denatured alcohol in New Zealand?

Hi.
I'll be touring round NZ south island this winter, and wonder how available denatured alcohol (methylated spirits) is away from the cities?
Can it be bought in regular gas stations or small town supply stores?

If possible I want to avoid having to take a multi-fuel burner for a number of reasons. I'd have to buy a new one, they are dirtier and take more space than my trangia burner and the bottle may be a hassle on flights.

Thanks for any advice

You can get it just about anywhere in the South Island, every small shop seemed to have some the last time I was there.

You can find the stuff at pretty much any gas station. It usually comes in a clear plastic bottle that fits perfectly in a water bottle cage. The liquid is dyed purple if I remember correctly.

Often used on SailBoat Stoves, as it doesn't Settle in the Bilges if there are leaks.
Marine Stores A good Place to shop.
