What are the best bar ends for MTB touring?

I like my old bull moose handlebars and need some bar ends for long distance cycling, commuting etc.

What do you guys recommend as there are so many choices out there, what works, what don't.
Drop bars are not an option for me.

Thanks...

Ergon GR5, a combination of comfortable wide surface grip, and a long bar end , integrated , fixed with 1 bolt,

but independently adjustable.. N. 5 is their longest bar end, 2 the shortest, 3, 4 , in between ..

Though I actually suggest Trekking 'Figure 8' bend as a MTB/trekking bike alternative..

You gain a smooth transition around the place bar ends Clamp,

plus a whole forward bar that will function like getting down in the drops,
when confronting headwinds, lowering your body to reduce resistance from the wind.

For commuting and touring, I use Cane Creek Ergo Control 2 bar ends, which lock on to the grips. Great for multiple hand positions, climbing out of the saddle, and you still have a traditional grip for rough sections. If you plan to ride through narrow areas with branches, they can get caught on them.

I use Profile Design Boxer Bar Ends in Long, for both Commuting and Touring.

Most useful for me is a type that goes forward, then bends in. That give you two different hand positions to use.

I have a pair of the Cane Creek ergo types, and I'm pretty unimpressed by them. Since the bar end is more or less centered on the bar (going forward and back), moving from the grip to the bar end hardly changes your back angle--not what you want when you need a different riding position.

I picked up a pair of long Profile Design Boxer Bar Ends for my winter/rain commuter and I really like them and they make my 27" bull moose handlebars look huge...lol

I ordered the nashbar strong hold bar ends and they are on back order, anyone have any experience with them?
If they don't work out I may get another pair of boxer ends.
Didn't care for the crane creek I looked at though as I was looking for a bar that extends.
