I have been lurking around BF for the past a few months. today I finally finish building this thing. Everything got from Ebay and Amazon (except the handlebar is taken from an old bike lying on the sidewalk), All components are low-mid level. In order to save money, I didn't match the colors, so it looks weird.

^ yeah, not only do the ergon GC3 grips and bar ends look good on the bike, they make it immeasurably more comfortable for me to ride compared to the cheap, chintzy grips that came with the bike.

I just missed the opportunity to buy one from CL. It was 2009 Bad Boy disc ..same as yours.
Small size for my wife. I was not desperate since my wife has very decent hybrid and 3 other bikes..but anyway - girsl was asking 300, I was ready to give 280... and no more.
I know..I'm cheap. Now I have many regrets.. It is not like I needed ..but for 300 who does not.
Great bike.

300 bucks I'd say was pretty good for 2009. Used USA framed BB's are going for much more that that here. In fact last year I was told by one of the Cannondale dealers (here in Kyoto) that the used USA framed BB's sell for more than the new 2010 model.
edit, the current price for a BadBoy disc is 79,000 yen. I think mine was just over 130,000 yen new. When the made in the USA sticker disappeared, the price dropped a huge amount BUT sales for the Taiwan Cannondales have skyrocketed here.

Do you get the impression that most of the hybrid riders have never used their vehicles for transportation? It does seem that way sometimes, but you can commute and still post in Hybrids. I do.

I think if I began commuting on my bike, I wouldn't find it as relaxing. My cycling is definitely recreational. Sure, I treat it as a lifestyle in regards to how much I ride(about 150 miles a week), but I ride simply as a means of escaping reality for the few hours I'm on it every night. I did think about using it as a means of transportation to get to work this summer because of gas prices, but my boss wouldn't let me keep it inside. There's no where outside to safely lock it up.
