I like the black on black scheme, looks nice and sleek. That said, my Roam 2 is gray and red, big fan.

A thread of great colors! Three months ago I got from Amazon a sub$200, Critical Cycles Harper coaster brake "fixie style" 57cm frame bike in gloss white and black accents, black wheelset, and have enjoyed customizing the thing.
My interest is safety, visibility to drivers, to get their attention and not be struck down again. I think I have that now: two days ago I painted the rims yellow! Always put white down first, underneath yellow, for maximum brilliance because yellow pigment tend to be transparent.
I will try to post a picture here when it is permitted. (The tires are Michelin Protek that I added for grip and their reflective sidewalls that the picture straight from the camera will illustrate.)
(Rats, I cannot share image until I have 10 posts)

For under 10 posts, if you have a computer/laptop, you can upload photos directly from there. Click "Go Advanced" under the reply box and either hit the paperclip icon up top, or scroll down under the reply box to "Additional Options" and hit "Manage Attachments".

I have not, nor will I buy a black bike period! For the money they want, they can give me something I like. Otherwise I will go elsewhere. If I dont find it, I build my own. Hint the Chinese open mode carbon frame builders will paint any color, bottom bracket etc you like for a very few bucks.

Murdered out bikes are...uninspiring. I want to see a bike and imagine using it and having fun. Murdered out black isnt a scheme that evokes desire/motivation/inspiration.
80s 2 tone fades. 80s smoke fade. 90s 2 tone fades. 90s splatter.
THOSE had personality!
My most ridden bikes are...
- '87 road bike two tone black to white transition with silver components.
- '15 gravel bike black cherry with black components
- '87 road bike soft pink with silver components
- '92 mtb purple with black components.
- '91 road bike white to gray smoke transition with silver components.
This winter I am going to build a road bike frame and the biggest unknown isnt geometry, components, or tubes as Ive already designed what I want and know the tubes that will be used. The biggest unknown is what color(s) itll be painted!

To be seen to help avoid getting creamed
Just taken an hour ago when it was getting very dark, so the yellow, so bright in daylight, is nearly dimmed out. First w/o flash and then with flash, from the camera. The yellow rims get drivers' attention during the daytime, like the reflective Michelin Protek sidewalls also do at night. Am sure other bright rim colors would work about as well, so do reflective decals and such.

How can you have a shiny new bike, if it isn't shiny?
