None, his clipped ear is what the TNR (Trap, Neuter, Release) rescue groups do to ID a feral cat they have already fixed. Belvedere was rescued from an abandoned building on the East side of a Chicago by a local TNR group back in the winter of 2014. They realized after they fixed him that he was not a feral cat and was probably just dumped by someone as he was super friendly. So one night before the temps in Chicago dropped below -50f with the wind chill they took him into rescue and we adopted him. We have had him for 6 years now. Best $35 Craigslist rescue kitty we ever got. His sister Penelope In my other photo is also a Craigslist kitty we got her for $40 from a college student that couldn’t keep her and we have had her for 10 years now

Tigger, following a bagel run. Not impressed, no seafood flavored bagels.

Buddy, looking serious.

Princess, age 14, last of three sisters we rescued.

Ours (same kind of source) have the same thing, in CA. Must be a universal marker.

Related: walking my dog this morning and we see three turkeys in a neighbor's yard... not too unusual. The turkeys saw us and kind of walked the other direction without too much concern. Behind a hedge was a black cat who was trying to figure out how to kill one of them... about 10 times his size.
