Largest tyres on a Canyon Roadlite AL 7.0?
Hello All,
I'm very close to purchasing a 2020 Canyon Roadlite AL 7.0, which I intend to put some gravel tyres on. Can any Roadlite owners tell me the largest tyres they can take on a 700C or 650b wheel?
Thanks in advance.

Not on Canyon"s website, which is why I've come here instead. To hopefully get some real world answers as manufacturers can often be quite conservative even if they do put it on the web.
If I'm wrong of course, I'm happy for someone to point me to the right part of Canyons website.

They would be a bit conservative, as you expect.

Thanks Surak
I don't know quite how I couldn't find that info on their site. Those sizes would be on the standard 700c wheels I'm guessing. I'll need to look at 650b wheels for the 40mm+ tyres I want to run.

Looking at this website, it appears the current generation indeed has pretty tight chain stay clearance. At the time, it looks like Canyon were installing 28mm tires, and they're up to 30mm tires today. That indicates to me that the frame clearance is pretty tight. The website says 32mm, and I'm not sure I'd bet against that, seeing how tight the frame appears to be. Going down to 584mm wheels...you might be able fit a 35mm or a 38mm tire. That's just a guess.

Hi,
I have successfully mounted Continental Terra Trail 40mm on my roadlite al sl 7 2019.
Works perfect but less than 1mm clearance on the rear frame. Next ones are gonna be 38.
I love those tyres though
