I get to ride in Valley Forge National Park when I like. One lovely stretch is Inner Defence Line Road, thought the hilly woods on the west end of the park. A couple of years ago I was dismayed to find that on those hills I could NOT outrun the gnats and mosquitos. They would swarm around my head until I crested and headed down hill again. Humbling, dare I say. Fortunately, now that I'm a bit older, I'm better than that.
