After the wettest June since records began, let's hope July is a little more forgiving. Despite the rain last month I managed a couple of brevets which meant my total was just shy of 300, as opposed to just shy of 100....

Today I just wanted to blow off a bit of steam but didn't have long, so just did a quick circuit of some local roads.

July 04 - 10 miles

MTD - 10 miles
YTD - 2132 miles

The first few days in July all I had was a bunch of really short rides with spouse. But fun. Today I did 40.98 miles in Sault Ste. Marie. Nice road, almost no cars. It got hot though.

Miles for the month: 68.38
Elevation gain for the month: 1103' (pretty flat here at the Soo).
Miles year to date: 2149.3

A nice(ish) morning meant I got chance to do the ride I wanted to do yesterday. I'd ordered a new video card from a store a little over 30 miles away. I could have taken the car but, you know...

Then I took a longer and more hilly route back. My SPD shoes make a difference but it got hot, and I had a couple of issues with cramping going up hills. One of the hills is fairly steep but also narrow and a fairly busy road, so there's always a bit of pressure to get up it as fast as I can. At least with SPDs I got up it faster than last time without them...

July 04 - 10 miles
July 05 - 70 miles

MTD - 80 miles
YTD - 2202 miles

July 05 - 952' / 13 miles
Tested out the Adamo Road Saddle today. Initial ride was far more comfortable than with original saddle. Was amazing to use the bathroom after and not have everything numb and stinging all at once Going to try a different Adamo version to be sure but think this may be the right saddle for me. https://www.ismseat.com/saddle/adamo-road

Tougher to get the mileage in when most of my rides are on the MTB, need to get in some more road rides.

Rode up a Cat 4 hill today without any walking. Big accomplishment for me

July Goal: 6,000' / 200 miles
MTD: 3,734' / 54 miles
