Evaluating used carbon frame
I am considering a used Kestrel Talon X and have read that some frames have suffered micro fractures. Are such fractures difficult to see when evaluating a bike? Any other tips when buying used carbon frames?

don't buy used carbon. not sure if you can maybe x-ray the frame and see micro fractures?
I mean it's probably fine but you don't want to find out going 30 downhill

"Micro" would suggest they are not visible to the naked eye.

There is no way that you (or any of us) can evaluate a used carbon frame of unknown provenance with any degree of confidence. They are practically giving these bikes away at BikesDirect, why take a chance?

Hold it under water and watch for bubbles.
Oh wait, that's leaky tubes.
