Yo, bro, I have just three words for you. Daytona.

Aside from the first lap mishap, I think Darlington will be clean today. Certainly nothing like Ryan's aerial pirouette at Daytona.

No sooner I said that and Jimmie gets loose and tries to pit maneuver Stenhouse, then spins into the inside wall. Dumbass.

Any wonder there’s a Florida Man thread?

Harvick won and did the obligatory burn-out. After that, he normally would have exited the car, jumped on the roof, pumped his fist, and the crowd would go wild. Instead, he was approached by an interviewer with a mic on the end of a 10-foot pole.

His first words, even before a breathless "I'd-like-to- thank-the-team-at-Stewart-Hass-Racing-Busch-Beer-Big-Buck-Hunter-Ford-for-this-magnificent-win-we-all-worked-hard-and-pulled-it-off-the-Big-Buck-Hunter-Harvick-Ford-was-tight", were "I didn’t think this was going to be much different, and then we won the race, and it’s dead silent out here so we miss the fans." Indeed.

NASCAR soldiers on. Truly, of late there have been no huge crowds. I was at Autoclub Speedway in Fontana on March 1. The speedway has a capacity for 122K people; attendance was sparse. One wonders about the Tour. What will it be like to have no fans running alongside the riders? No throngs at the roadside? No Didi Devil in the road?

My favorites these days are the Penske stable: Logano, Blaney, Keselowski, DiBenedetto.
My favorites from the Winston Cup era are Davey Allison, Bobby Allison, Dale Jarrett, Ricky Rudd, Harry Gant, and Ernie Irvan.
I used to LOVE Robert Yates Racing. Met RY several times before his death and he was always a class act.
You might've figured out that I'm a Ford fan.

I can't stand Chase Elliott and Kyle Busch, and I never liked Earnhardt, Gordon, or Jimmie Johnson when they were active.

Looking forward to spending Father's Day with my dad and watching Talladega.

Funny how time marches on..........in watching Jeff "Wonder Boy" Gordon interviewing the Rookie of the Year contenders, who were born a few years after his winning the rookie title.

Yeah, it's definitely weird seeing him retired and part of the old guard. Sorta reminds me that I'm staring down 40. (Been watching since I was 6yrs old...)

I wasn't watching Nascar at 6 years old, I was still trying to figure out how reach the pedals of my "new to me" three speed bicycle.

Here's some fast drying glue that you might want to watch, the action doesn't start until 3 minutes in, then it starts to look like the few drivers set loose onto our local streets and highways during the time of shelter in place.

Rednecks going around in circles for four hours. Better than nothing my group of bozos like NASCAR. I will watch a few races...

Multiple last lap passes for the lead, a wreck on the back stretch, the third place finisher sliding backwards across the finish line...and a photo finish with my boy Ryan Blaney taking the win. Yep, it was worth the rain delays.

At least it was at the finish, since I dislike watching wrecks, it's that having to fix the car afterwards.
