Please help ID my 90s titanium mtb frame (please)...
I'm stumped as to what I just picked up.
The previous owner said it was a Dean titanium, and that he had it for 8 years. I'm not convinced that it is a Dean. Kind of cool that he used it as a commuter, and 'camouflaged' it with paint made to look like rust on a steel frame. Its definitely titanium though. No decals. It must be pre-1996 because of the canti cable bridge on the rear seatstays. There are two serial numbers: F051A0137 and B10261. The rear drop-outs are unlike anything I have seen from Dean pics online. Strange cable routing also. 27.2 mm seatpost, 1 1/8" steer tube. The stripped frame weighs 1415g (3.1lb).
Any ideas? I haven't tried to contact Dean yet, thought I'd start here.
Marin perhaps?

Thanks for the input redcaymatt. What year was yours, and do you remember the head and seat tube angles? Did it have the same cable routing?

Mine was a 95. Same cable routing on the top tube. has that right rear dropout been repaired? I can't tell from the pics but it looks pretty sloppy. These bikes had very cool Marin branded canto brakes (which I kept and the White industries branded Sugino cranks which I also kept. What size is the frame?

Sorry for the bad pics, the dropout is totally fine, no dings or tweaks. The only damage to the frame is the seat collar has been removed, kind of strange. The frame is a 19", confirmed year 1995 from the serial number, made in the "Fairly" factory (not sure who or where this factory is/was). I've only seen pictures of those brakes, very cool. I have a 1995 Rocky Mountain Altitude with full Deore XT that I will be stripping and swapping parts over from. Syncros, Race Face, etc...
P.S. thanks for the Bikepedia link, hard to believe the listed weight of the original stock bike!
