Oh man! I live in die hard Busch Light country and people give me crap all the time for drinking fancy "micro brews" like Dos Equis Amber! Then they see me riding my bike wearing an Arrogant Bastard Ale jersey and it's all over. They can't fathom why someone would 1: ever pay more than $1 a beer and 2: ever ride a bike.

I enjoy me a good beer. Don't drink too often, I have a six pack each of Coopers sparkling ale, and their pale ale. I have them for a couple of weeks now. If you like Imperial stout, Sam Adams make a good one, and it's pretty high in alcohol content. I would love to have a bottle of Brew Dog's The End of History beer, but almost $800 for a bottle is outrageous!

With Summer coming Alaskan Brewing makes a great Summer Ale.

I have a few favorite local microbrews and seasonal offerings, but I don't hate beers that are pale, cold and fizzy, especially after a ride, hike or workout. A cheap Canadian lager, good and cold, truly enhances the experience of sitting on the deck, looking at the river, on a hot summer day. On the other hand, I'm not a beer snob, but I don't think I could finish a Busch.

PBR. It is what I enjoyed more than any other before going craft/homebrew. Yuengling's is pretty good too... Well, for a mass produced beer.

I will STILL drink PBR over Sam Adams Boston Lager. That stuff is always off-tasting.

Took a long bike tour Bavaria Bohemia Belgium & Britain , NL DK etc.
Pubs in Some of the Benelux Hostels..
and another trip in Eire and Scotland .. who needs energy drinks?

I love beer. I've had to cut down do to an expanding waistline. I don't have a favorite beer that I drink a lot. I tend to try something new when I find it.

I went out with my girlfriend last night and tried a new one, unfortunately I don't remember what it was called. It was $9.50 for a 23oz glass though. I only had one. My girlfriend was appalled by the price.

She drinks Bud Light.

Craft brews are the thing here, not happy days for the corporate lager. Budweiser was smart to sell out to InBev.

Boulder Beer Singletrack is a better mountain-bike themed Colorado beer for people who've yet to acquire a taste for more flavorful beers.

I'm pretty fond of Stone Arrogant Bastard, Stone IPA, Bear Republic Racer 5 IPA, Russian River Blind Pig IPA, and Boulder Beer Hazed and Infused.

The Racer 5 and Blind Pig are what Bridgeport IPA might be if that brewer was more generous with hops without going too far like many double IPAs.

I'm pretty new to good beer, but all the snobs on a mountain bike site I frequent claim this list is a good one. I've tried a few and they're all pretty good. A lot of them are very difficult to obtain as they're special release beers and/or not avail in your area.

Drinking a Paulaner Hefeweizen right now... Love wheat beers...YUMMY! Took a few to get used to the phenolic/banana/clove flavor of the yeast, but once I got used to it, well, I was hooked! I also like Dunkel's and Weizenbock's as well. Plus, their bottles are the best for homebrew, German beer bottles are much thicker and better made than American beer bottles!

My brother in law is coming to visit. My plan is to start a new batch of homebrew and get him hooked on making your own.

I've got to mention some of my favorite craft breweries. I live in Portage, MI which is near the home of Bells's Brewing one of the most successful craft breweries in the USA. Point from Stevens Point WI is one of the best values in craft brews. They make very good beer, but they also keep the price reasonable.

Ah yes the micro brews. It's amazing how fast they have taken off. Near my neck of the woods a few micro brew shops have opened. Hell the local Sunoco gas stations have growler stations of good stuff like Holy City's Pluff Mud, Rogue's Dead Guy Ale, Abita's Turbodog.

It's a nice change from having to drive 45 minutes to the local Total Wine to get good beer. Now most of the local grocery stores carry good micros.

Rogue's hopyards are a 13.1 mile ride from my house. Have to plan rides up that way quite well to make sure enough calories get burned.

Portland is beer heaven, right up there with Colorado. I'm in Texas, we finally have some good local IPA's available.
