Is my Revelate Ripio Frame Bag too Large / Saggy? Pics inside
I bought a Large sized Revelate Ripio Frame Bag after measuring the frame on my new REI ADV 3.1 bike and am unsure if it is too saggy. I took it for a ride and it did not hit my knees at all, and visually just seems a tad saggy on the downtube area.
These pics just have a few things in the bag like a multitool and extra tube but I can load it up. I don't want to go medium and then sacrifice space for how much money this thing costs.
Should I return it for medium size?

You're an adult. I'm confident you will make the right decision in this difficult situation.

Fit looks perfect to me.
But the front velcro might be better if sewed some more towards the left side.

Looks like a medium would have a 1/2" gap all around. The medium doesn't have a vertical divider in the top section so who knows. I'd send the pic to Revelate for their opinion.
I've got a medium Tangle frame bag on a 56cm CrossCheck and 56cm LHT. Best idea ever.

assume there will be some stretch in the first couple weeks of use.
and then medium will be a perfect fit.

The only way to get a fit with no gaps and no slack is to get something custom.
use whichever you think fits best and doesnt impede riding once loaded up.

How much will you enjoy either of these bags during a 30 mph crosswind?

50kph crosswinds just plain suck no matter what. One of my worst riding part of a day recently was with gusting 50-60k sidewinds with a narrow shoulder and lots of trucks.
but this has happened only a few times in all my years of riding.

If you have ridden in the western U.S. a good amount and have not experienced a lot of really strong crosswinds that you have lucked out or I have been extremely unlucky.

REALITY: The wind can come from any direction...heck...it could act as a sail!

Thanks all for the responses. Go figure, I actually returned this bike in favor for a 2018 Salsa Fargo.
I have the medium and large size bags still, and will post up how they look on the Cream White color Fargo once I get it after pre order is shipped within 30 days.
