Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

There are advantages to being a low social needs introvert in these times.

That depends how AG is doing with the Lisfranc. Personally, I'm happy sitting in the warm and drinking lava flows.

Does covering the spread count as shocking the world?

I mean, still probably not.

You should set aside tomorrow for some NFL viewing. Undefeated Steelers vs undefeated Titans. And the undefeated Seahawks vs the slightly defeated Cardinals. 10am and 5pm MST.

Is there a specific time when we all sing Rocky top or do they just start when the mood strikes?

Much less aggressive position plus big ol' handlebar bag on the Trek?
30-35lbs vs 22lbs?

Not sure what I can do fit-wise. The frame is so big, and the stem can only go so low...

Sometimes I feel like just embracing the slow life and throwing flat pedals on the thing. But I'm also frustrated at how slow I am when I'm on it.
I am faster on my Paramount OS(PDG), always. It just slices through the air better, especially a headwind. It is the lightest bike I own. Does that have anything to do with it?

The ruing, weeping, and gnashing of teeth builds character. The post-game/call-in radio shows are quality entertainment.

Yesterday, I intentionally went for a PB on a 5 mile Strava segment, and while I came close, I didn't get it. I thought it was because I blew up near the end, but it turns out that the segment starts right at my turnaround point on yesterday's ride, and Strava in its infinite wisdom started my time the FIRST time I passed the beginning of the segment, GOING IN THE WRONG DIRECTION! I figured this out by doing a 'Compare' with my PR on that segment. In the replay, yesterday's dot goes backwards then forwards. If I figure subtract the time I spent going past the start, turning around, and getting back to it, I was actually 35 seconds FASTER.

BTW, you can also see the point where I blew up. If I'd known I was doing that well, I might have kept going a bit longer.

This was the last post-work ride of the next-to-last week of post-work riding. The sun had just dropped below the hills when I got back to the car.

Strava has been shaving mileage off my rides. It's very bad.
