Estimate your spare parts bin retail value
If you could immediately get retail price back in exchange for all your SS/FG spare parts you're not currently using, how much money would appear in your hand?

HAHAHAHAHAHA! Probably 10kish at full retail value but of course a lot of stuff is used and not actually worth a ton. Though I have tons of stuff that is pretty handy to have around. Those who don't save parts are silly. Save parts they can be quite handy.

Maybe $30. Four inexpensive cogs in sizes other than 16. Both bikes are back to SS, so there isn’t much SS stuff that isn’t being used.
OTOH, the value of shifting-related parts not in use would be more!

Technically if you are just going single speed parts I would not be so high.
My fixed gear and single speed specific parts bin would be the cost of 2 Dura Ace cogs, a lockring and a WI freewheel and a not totally worn out but certainly quite used Miche chain and possibly a higher end KMC X1 chain and I guess a set of old langster wheels and a langster rio fork.

Like Veganbikes said, if you made it SS/FG-only it wouldn't be so high. Maybe a few hundred dollars. But I have a number of cranksets that COULD be used on a SS/FG bike and those alone are worth upwards of $100.00 to $150.00 each. Don't get me started on the handlebars, stems, etc. I don't want to really think about how much I really have honestly.
