Trek BB90 washers Question

I just got some new bearings for my BB90. The kit comes with bearings, seals and three thin flat washers. I've replace my BB before, so I know the washer aren't for my application (2013 Madone). Anybody know what they are for? Thanks,

I’d check with your Trek Dealer, but I just replaced a Shimano BB 90 and don’t remember any washers.
