It Seems There Should Be a Forum Called "Bicycle Restoration"
I was looking for information here at BF on restoring my brother-in-law's vintage Schwinn, and I was surprised to see that there's no sub-forum that specializes in restoration. I know I can pick around in other sub-forums to get some of the information I need, but it would be nice to have it all in one place here.
Just a thought...

Well, there is the Classic & Vintage forum here. Those folks either know or know where to find the info- especially Scooper (his father was a rep for Schwinn back in the day).
And, technically, this thread should be in Forum Suggestions & User Assistance

Plenty of old Schwinn enthusiasts on C&V. I'm restoring a '70's Superior myself... but then I spent a few years working in a Schwinn shop back then. (A little ways from Burbank- South Pasadena, specifically, right on old Route 66.) It's not rocket surgery.
