Mxu, i've got to say, i really like your cannondale...its a seriously good looking bike. it'll be even sweeter once you get the reflectors off and some bottle cages mounted. The classic-bend drop bars are very nice.

Sorry for the late reply. I paid $1,300.

However it came with Korso's that I gave to a friend. I recently added the Shimano compact crank (though it came with an Ultegra double) and an Ultegra 12-27. I already had the Open Pro's. Also, changed the saddle, seat post, stem and handle bars.

I had foot pain issues shortly after buying it, so I put maybe 500 miles on it, then didn't ride it for months. I think I put 600 miles on it last month....and no more pain.

If there aren't little screwdriver holes on the side, you gotta just snap it off with a garden tool. I had to do that to my bike. Careful not to break any spokes..

Nice I have a soft spot for old road bikes (my first was an '84 Fuji). There's something clean and appealing about the way old road bikes were equipped and painted - the bike I mentioned was solid powder blue with yellow handlebars, and a few unobtrusive decals. Most frames nowadays are sold with big flashy names painted on them, or fancy MTV-esque designs.

Case in point, my current racing bike - '05 Croix de Fer:

I just got a new to me 2001 M4 S-Works in 52cm form Ebay. Full Dura Ace and time fork. The bike is all original including the Specialized tires with out 1k miles on them. I've sold my Surly and baught this. Always wanted to have a red colored bike.

Thanks for the positive comments on my budget road bike, finally got the reflectors off by crushing them with a pair of pliers and picking the remains off the spokes..

No, I actually don't race at all . The handlebars are somewhat high, though the picture makes them look higher still (the camera angle is deceptive). I've kept them high because I've been commuting on this bike since my beater died - when I get a new commuting bike I'll probably lower them.
