I'm moving

I'm moving to Vancouver,Washington, after living in Dallas/Fort Worth since 1981, it's time for a change,

In the process you find you need a lot less stuff to live, one of these is a 1974 Yellow Raleigh Sports I have, I'm trying to sell it on the local Dallas Craig's list, nada,, nothing, are these bikes not collectible ?

Yes, they are.

Perhaps not in Dallas, though!

Not really. They're the equivalent of old Schwinns- heavy, sturdy, indestructible. If you bring it to the 'Couv, I'm sure you could find someone in Portland that'll take it off your hands.

probably a fixed gear bike for someone. Portland is pretty big on fg's. In fact the whole NW ...Most of my friends have at least one. Including me...Enjoy the green. My wife is from Houston and came here because of the green and the mountains.

Green and mountains, what a concept, I can't wait, looks like late Sept on the move. House prices and financing are both great now, so I'm glad I heading north/west....

Yeah... I moved here from San Diego, where the hills are brown 11 months out of the year. Just wait until next spring- you'll learn if you're allergic to pollen!

BTW: the Vancouver Bicycle Club is pretty darn good- the annual Ride Around Clark County is a great way to see the town and countryside:

Welcome up! Are you planning on working in vancouver or portland, and after that, are you hoping to bike commute?

I'm a pilot for a airfreight company, so I don't work in the Portland/Vancouver area, I commute by jet to get to work. I can pretty much live anywhere I have airline service to get me to work. I'm sitting in a hotel in Philadelphia at the moment.

Have you given thought to embracing the jetfree lifestyle? It's all the rage these days.
