Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

hey prolly, i noticed that the bike you posted has bmx platform pedals with straps and clips. i have a similar set of pedals but didn't think you could do that with them. is there any instructions online somewhere on how to mount that hardware on them?

Drill two mounting holes and maybe some longer bolts?

No. I use Wellgo MG4 pedals and Dimension plastic or MKS toeclips. You just put the clip over the top of the platform and remove the "stud" that's in the middle. Pretty easy.

Can I jam these into the straps?

A two part post;

1) Those unchopped flipped bars remind me of these old Scott tri bars from 1991 or so.

2) See said Scott bars on the bike below and the epic fail...circa early 90s (and not fixed) but I'm sure some kid somewhere would love to frankenstein that thing into a fixed gear.

looks like a cigarette holder... makes smoking and riding at the same time easier. all my friends have them except they mount them on their bars when they aren't cut too short.
