rush hour barspins?

im looking into replacing my beat to death (but still amazing) pake come springtime- but im starting my planning/money savings early. i was thinking steamroller or bmw gangsta cause i wanna do barspins when im not riding. i was reading the july issue of urban velo cause i just got it for free today and i saw an add for a rush hour. it looked like it had a pseudo old school mtb fork on it and the tire clearance between the downtube and wheel looked promising. im just wondering, can it do barspins? itd be awesome if it could cause the frame seems real nice (for the mun-e), and i work at a shoppe that sells raleigh so itd be pretty easy to get

and no, i dont only do tricks on my fixie so dont bust my balls. i ride to work at the bike shop/school/parties and i have done messenger work before- but if my bike can do more than just ride, im gonna do it

you can do barspins with the new continuum frame. google continuum cycles. and of course bmw.

i have both and bar spins are exciting for ten minutes until u fall in front of people. not so cute then.

saw a pic of a gorrilla prototype frame with a curved downtube for tyre clearance; specially made for bar spins.

get a bike with a 1 1/8" headtube and buy a BMW fork or an SE landing gear 26" fork. Problem solved. I don't trust anything else. Other forks snap just looking at them wrong and snapped forks = broken teeth.

i don't want to say don't bother with a bmw fork, but if you want a solution anytime soon go with the landing gear or maybe the dmr trailblade 2. i believe the current wait on anything bmw has been extended until 2009.

k, i guess ill just get a gangsta track when i feel 800 bux is feasable, aka the springtime. i just wanted to see if a stock rush hour could- the fork looks beefy for a run of the mill brand. and yeah, dont try to get a bmw fork- i tried that and they said straight up that theyre sold out for months.

Can anyone post any pics with this fork on a fixed gear? "SE landing gear 26" fork."
https://www.abikestore.com/Merchant2/...Store_Code=abs
I too have aspirations for barspin but the BMW fork is a little spendy and not avail for a while.

My windsor hour could barspin stock w/ a 700x23 Dia Compe tire (they're a bit slimmer)

and my Leader 721TR barspins w/ the 43mm Road Fork w/ decent clearance

Both were cool for other tricks too...the Leader is super fun to stunt on

chris wielk, prolly,

Thanks for the replies. It looks like either fork will be good. Can any one of you tell me if there still is toe overlap when using these mountain bike forks. How is the toe overlap of the mtb forks when compared to a bmw fork on a track frame?

Also, does anyone have any recommendations on any frames for use with either fork. I'm not looking to spend $$$$$. Some options I had were a few on bike island:

jury frame

thanks,
