Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Yes, I'll be in the area, working Interbike just like the last 20+ years. But no time for fun. We'll be taking customers out to vastly over-priced dinners and talking "business."

Your way sounds like lots more fun!

So I just realized that I'm in Vegas next Tuesday through Friday. I'm meeting up with some of my pals from Florida. We like to ride bikes and we like to drink beers and we especially like to have a good time.

I had intended to ship my bike out there, but since it's already thursday, I don't think it will make it on time.

SO MY QUERY IS: CAN ANYONE LOAN ME A BIKE FOR THOSE THREE DAYS? I will shower you with beer and adoration and fun. Fixed, free, road, mountain, tractor, it doesn't matter. I ride a 58cm, but I'll take what you got.

Look for us at the races/sprints and say hello.

Corey's in the middle and I'm on the right. The guy on the left is dying somewhere in New York. We're all so legit.

when did a drag race ever have a checkpoint beyond 'start' and 'finish?'

And to quote the intarnet

Drag racing is a sport in which cars or motorcycles race down a track with a set distance as fast as possible.

To bring automotive racing yayas to the whole ting!!! Bring on the checkered flags!! Or it might refer to the 'drag' that is the Vegas strip. As in, 'the main drag'.
I wonder if you'll need to race with one of those giant plastic Casino drinks with the 2ft straw in it?

people people. if you are in the area, this is going to be insane. it was amazing last year and its only getting bigger. Goldsprints at this years monster track was bananas. Close to a hundred racers, all soaking wet b/c of the storm. It was one of the most exciting events that weekend.

This isn't the first time I've seen this and it always baffles me. It just seems weird since there are race formats that are much similiar to a drag race.
