Not an expert myself.

Just got this bike this weekend and it is awesome!!!! I rode fixed before but my knees started to really hurt me so I decided to switch to a road bike. So far I could not be any happier.
I also rode a Brooks B17 before but decided that this was not the right saddle for this bike so after many a forum search I decided that the Toupe 143 would be the best saddle for me. I was right. After a few initial adjustments, I think I got it dialed in and despite a little sit bone pain at first, I barely noticed it was there at all.
All in all I am very satisfied.
What do you guys think, black saddle or white bartape?

Here's my Cadent 3.0. I'm thinking about adding some red handlebar tape and red striped Michelins to compliment the bland white paint job.

Giant OCR C2. This is the picture from the ebay listing. Bike is arriving today (yipee!!). Will be putting pink speedplay light action pedals on for style points and to reflect my riding preference. Will likely also add my Forte Pro SLX saddle.

I intended to debadge mine but the silver decals matched the silver lettering on the frame and Avid Shorty 6's so well that I decided to leave them as is. If I wait long enough it'll come back in style.

Nice bike, you will hear 2 things on here though.
1. lose the dork disk on the back wheel.
2. flip the stem.

Hey dj, thanks for the suggestions. "Dork" disc is now gone and I've stripped off as much decals as I could. But, what is "flipping the stem"? Is it just reversing it so that it angles downward? If so, why? Sorry if these are "newb" type questions.

You might also get people complaining that you're not in the big ring and that your valve stems aren't pointing straight down, and that your crank arms aren't either parallel to the ground or lined up with your seat tube, and that you should remove your toolbag, and putting Specialized cages on a Trek is just SO unhip, and you've got too many headset spacers, and putting electrical tape on the bar ends is Fred.
I think I covered all the OCP faults...but I couldn't possibly care less, and you shouldn't either.

Thanks for the insight, Mo'Phat. I'm still new to this scene so there are still a lot of terms and conventions I'm not familiar with. I'm with you on the form and fit issue. Btw, the tape on the bar ends is there 'cuz I scraped the end of the tape two days ago leaving it dangling. No way was I gonna replace the bar tape when it hadn't even been ridden more than couple days, thus the electrical tape (placed on both sides for symmetry). Also, what is "fred" and where did it come from? I take it that it's somewhat demeaning.

Yup, they're the light action version. I like them a lot. Of course, this is the first pair of clipless pedals I've ever had so I don't have much to compare with. Nevertheless, they're very easy for a newb like me to get in and out of... not much of a learning curve involved.
