Free Funnel for Tire Sealant

Here's a way to re-use some recyclables and seal your tires cleanly & easily.

I taped my WTB STp i23 rims with Gorilla tape, installed WTB valve stems, and the WTB Riddler 700x45 tires. Both rims and tires are WTB TCS tubeless designs. The rims and tire beads were brushed with soapy water. I pulled the tires onto the bead "platforms" almost completely and tried inflating with a floor pump which worked. All tire beads seated fully into the rims. Then the valve cores were removed.

I had a plastic tube and an empty plastic bottle. With a 1/8-inch hole drilled into the bottle the tube slipped in tightly. No glue needed.

The funnel tube slips into the tire valve tube with room for air to escape. I didn't want to put sealant into a measuring cup so I measured 3 ounces of water into the chile can to see how deeply to fill it with sealant. Then the water was emptied out and replaced with sealant to the same level. The funnel tube was slipped into the Presta valve tube and the sealant poured in. With the valve core installed the tire was pumped up right away. Done!
