Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Thanks! Yes it is True Temper Ox Platinum steel tubing. I've bought (then sold) a number of bikes ('07 Litespeed Siena, Giant TCR, Look 555, 566, Jamis Aurora Elite, Lemond Poprad, Cervelo R3, Lemond Buenos Aires spine bike, Gunnar Crosshairs...) The Sarthe is the benchmark for which I judge other bikes and it wins out every time.. so it was deserving of the upgraded components. This bike (more so than other steel bikes I have owned) has me sold on steel being real!

Nice components.... sharp bike.

IMO you might want to swap your speed sensor to the front of the fork for if something hits it inward it could bind between the fork legs and take out a couple spokes or the whole wheel.

What's the proper terminology when referring to a 53/39 crank?

Standard Double (Road)
