Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Lightning Italian-threaded BB30 cups. With these I should (knock on wood) be able to install my new crank.

Sent my Z5 SLi frame back to the factory for a slightly custom re-paint job while I'm traveling a bit. This is just the artist sktech, we'll see how it turns out...apologies in advance to all the black plastic bike haters...

It'll be beautiful I'm sure, but it doesn't seem too different from your stock paint? Why the new coat?

Wanted a change to be a little more custom looking. But didn't want to do anything too gaudy. It's actually a little lighter than this rendering. Saw a complete bike at the velosmith Facebook page

That looks quite sharp, stealthy even, with that matte finish and low-contrast lettering.

Stealth, but not as pure stealth as the stock Ghost Matte. I'm still trying to figure out exactly how much faster this paint job is going to make me...

Finally picked up a balaclava headliner for those cold commuting mornings. Found it at the local Sportsman's Warehouse.

Wont be long till Im stuck inside till April, so I bought a new Cycleops Powerbeam Pro. Now I can cycle to some video rides and feel the resistance change to the slope. Wont be quite as boring I think.

This upgrade was TOTALLY worth it. Love the Dura Ace brakes (now that I've had a chance to ride with them for a few days).
