Help ID This Schwinn

Not mine but I told the seller we'd help him ID. He thought it was a Paramount but I doubt anyone would take off the head badge and replace it with a Schwinn Chicago badge. Bike was stripped and painted over. No SN. I've asked about the dropouts.

Seller should get some kind of award for managing to take eighteen pictures without a single one showing the bike from the drive side.

Impossible to say what it is without photos of the dropouts, plus maybe info like seatpost size, and what four digit number is stamped on the headbadge. I've never seen cable routing like that in the bottom bracket area.

I’m fairly certain it’s a mid-late 80s Schwinn Super Sport, repainted of course. The fork crown, seat stay ends, cable routing, lugs, and seat clamp all match. If I’m correct the bike originally may have looked like this one. Sorry I don’t have a better photo. It’s not my bike and was just hanging in the window at an LBS in Saint Paul MN a few years back when I took the pic.

If you google “80s Schwinn Super Sport” you’ll see plenty of examples.
